I must admit, after listening to empty campaign promises from 100s of politicians, at least this guy went out and gave 110% to do what he said he would. I have to admire that about him.

I like his golf game.  I wish he'd play more of it.
I stood in line for four hours. They better give me a Wal-Mart gift card, or something.  - Rodney Booker, Job Fair attendee.

Very little, but I guess a plus is he's not as bad on foreign relations as past presidents.

Tony Blair is not a nation, and Australia didn't do any real fighting.

I was interested in the stuff he was elected on.

And I've been fairly disappointed to see that what has actually transpired has been far short of it. If a politician tried that here they'd be lucky to last this long, their own party would get rid of them before the public got the chance.

What I like about him most probably hasn't happened yet.  I have a feeling he'll become the next Clinton (without any extramarital affairs) once the GOP gets Congress.

I guess what I like about Obama is he is actively trying to solve fundamental problems, not conceal them to keep the gravy train rolling.

I like the fact that he comes off as being much more 'presidential' than Bush, and does seem to be going a fair way towards repairing the United States' reputation amongst the rest of the world. To an extent he does seem to be genuinely interested in solving basic problems within America, I'm just not sure whether he'll go through with it or do it the right way.

If by Presidential, he's a good public speaker, then yes. If by Presidential you mean he's strong willed and keeps Congress in check, then no, he's not Presidential at all. He's as weak as Jimmy Carter was.

I did say comes off as being. But I mean things like being a good public speaker, the way he presents and carries himself etc. I'm not sure anyone could do much to keep the Party of No in check right now.

It's not the Republicans that need to be kept in check, it's his own parties wingnuts that need to be tasered and locked in a dark closet.

But hey, you seem to care an awful lot about appearances rather than substance. You'd make a great American voter.

Did you read the fucking OP? He asked what I liked about him, so I said what I liked about him. That doesn't for a second mean that those are categories I judge a successful presidency on. Stop being a patronising douchebag.
