It's even more ambiguous than that: OPFOR vs Coalition now. Doesn't change the characters or sound/language in the game, though.

The article said you'll always be on the American side, killing Afghans or maybe they'll still call the enemy the Taliban. Unless they were talking about America's Army, I'm not sure.

I understand why in AA you're always the US soldier, it's made by them for them. But if EA do the same, that's the funniest shit I've heard in my life considering this will probably be the first commercial game to do something so stupid.

The SP is US-only. Always has been, AFAIK. It's the MP that has caused the "controversy". So they changed the "controversial" aspect of the MP.

Disregarding reliability of the link, not that it's unreliable, but to debate this actual topic: That's pretty controversial, but put it into perspective. We believe we're right, taliban are bad and do all sorts of terrible offences in the name of they'r eprinciples. That's pretty much how they feel about us. I don't think that the taliban option is a bad thing for this reason. They're fighting for a cause, so is every other army in the world. Keep the taliban in MoH. We can play as germany in ww2 games, can't we? Choosing to play as the taliban isn't supporting their cause... it's because you hit auto-join team and you got put there to balance it out because the majority of the players are on the American team tryin to prove some non existant point

I always give fox news a chance... Never fails to make me rage. Taliban has been removed. 1 up for the guys with the chip on their shoulder, who fail to recognize that "Taliban" was just a realistic name for the enemy team. Honestly, calling them OpFor... that's like calling them "The Enemy".

FFS, we're not that squeamish when it comes to making Russia the bad guys.

Well, the reason MoH was prompted to change the taliban to OpFor was because veterans who had been fighting for years against the taliban and some other people wanted it changed. The USA never actually fought Russia themselves very much, other than by supplying militants with weapons to be used against the russians, or by fighting enemies equipped by the russians. The only time I can really think of russians and americans fighting was in occasional small skirmishes in berlin and when the korean war broke out. The first pilots to fight the americans in Korea were actually Soviet. Other than thought, No US veterans died fighting russians, so I guess they're fine with letting people play as Russia in games.
