Acer has gotten a lot better recently, it's still crap compared to a bunch of other manufacturers, but you get really high end components for bottom price in Acers.
Albeit, personally I would pay the extra price for a proper computer.

My first hard-drive purchase since 2007. If I keep gathering data at this rate, this baby will last me another decade.
I'd type my pc specs out all fancy again but teh mods would remove it. Again.
Bought a 140mm case fan today. Mounted it in the front of the case as an intake to bring in air across the hard drives. Also took my external drive out of its enclosure and put it in the case. Reformatted it and now backing up all my media onto it. This might take a while...

Bought a Sony NWZ-A847B. 64GB. Drag & drop support. Great sound quality. Love it. Next to ipod touch 3G and classic 160GB.

It's good but I don't really use mp3-players at all

~$500. About the same as a Zune HD 64GB or a touch 64GB would cost here.Finray wrote:

Also came with some surprisingly good noise canceling earphones. Something I'd actually consider using on a day-to-day basis.

Nothing special about the hardware. Just the PS3 Console Move bundle + extra controller as a birthday present for my soon to be six year old. What was special, was getting it for 30% off retail, plus $40 game credit.
I'll be jailbreaking the old PS3 Fat afterwards. I just hope it wasn't recently firmware upgraded...

Post some pics once you've got it all together and running. Perhaps you should have bought a Blu Ray drive, though? Ah well, you can always get one later.Little BaBy JESUS wrote:
