If you are any good at your job you should be employable regardless. If you require government regulations to keep your job at a detriment to the economy Imma be like wut.

Aren't both parties going big on mental health policy and spending after that recent Australian of the year guy who got it for his work in mental health? I specifically remember Rabbott carrying on about 2000 new mental health beds in 100 mental health centres around Australia or some such bullshit which he wouldn't have been able to fund properly anyway cause the cunt is nuemerically illiterate.

Exactly my thoughts fleccs, I never understood why everyone got in an uproar of worplace relations. If you make yourself a valuable asset to the company you have no worries about losing your job. The only people whining about them were the guys who hide behind their unions.

It's due to funding. Since Rudd took office the place I work was opened due to indirect federal government funding that was boosted into the mental health sector. And since working there I've developed a skillset that I didn't have previously, well kinda did but more life experience as opposed to areas I can point to where I've received training in (suicide awareness, transcultural awareness, mental health first aid - you get the picture). In contrast I seem to recall reports in the media of private schools and hospitals receiving more federal funding than ever, yet simultaneously the public sector received cuts. I guess it wasn't that health and education were the issues, it was the fact that ultimately private schools and hospitals are turning a profit.

And don't discount life experience. My boss charges $60-$80 an hour or more for his time, not including materials, planning and management fees.
He holds no qualifications.
