Burning the koran on 9-11 !

I heard on FOX News that Some Pastor will be Burning a pile ( Don't know how many ) korans on the 9-11 anniversary.

As an act of ( protest, understanding, hate, art, love, ) Who knows. They have a congregation of about 50 so It's probably publicity driven ( ya think ) Seems less than brilliant, It might be better to bring a couple of cases of beer to a trap range. Now I am hysterical and paranoid and waiting for my orders, ( they tell us what to do - don't tell anyone ) should be fun to watch, but I can't foresee any real trouble. Can you ?

Why not celebrate remembrance for the victims of 9-11 and the fallen who have fought to defend this country because of the terrorist attacks? Whatever happened to not repaying evil with evil? Doesn't seem like the wisest Shepard imo, just trying to stir the pot.

True, they burn American flags, but that isn't necessarily religious by any means. Iranians have been rightfully upset with us for overthrowing their government in the past and reinstating the Shah. The UN sanctions against Iraq in the 90's resulted in I believe half a million children starving to death? Supporting the Saudi Royal family, a supposed democracy with all it's lovely oppression, couldn't possibly create the slightest resentment for American foreign policy. No, of course not. It's purely the religion of Islam why they act they do.

I'm sure Muslims burn bibles too when they find them, since Christians are such a minority in that part of the world. I believe Christian oppression is 2nd highest in Pakistan, if I recall correctly, below North Korea. This just isn't the way to go. I'm sure we can vaguely remember the depiction of Mohammad in those Danish cartoons and what resulted.
