Perth just fell in our lap, it's not officially announced just yet but we have a big gig there... Melbourne was already on the cards, as was Sydney. I've got a lot of friends in Launceston (used to live there) so getting from Melbourne to Launnie was an easy decision to make once we budgeted for it. Adelaide one day (have friends there too), but unfortunately not this time.

So we got onto the One Movement Showcase, Australia's biggest industry showcase (they also have a festival on at the same time for the masses which our pals British India are playing at)... also got some new gear in and incoming... also have another 3 dates booked with British India for their next QLD tour in September, we've got our single launch AND we're playing @ Suncorp Stadium during halftime this Friday... lots of things happening!!

You should do that thingy that YouTube did not too long ago. Each person records a different part and then someone mixes them*

*lol, ok so that sounds exactly like standard music productions but you get what I mean
Like, how many times have I tried that???
I've never seen you try. But you could try again ...

Looks cool. How much is that going to cost you?

analogue pedals are so cool, i went through a major phase of collecting them and being really nuts about my vintage ones...

though, in time, i have just replaced half the analogue with digital

$135 USD, with extra diodes. There's a lot of combinations to be had:
The diode options are, in order of clipping (least to most):
LED
Silicon (Si
Germanium (NOS) (Ge)
Schottky
Germanium (Generic) (Ge)

Si/Si - Standard Muff configuration. Demos were done with this combo, and basically everything will be compared to this configuration.
LED/Si- More high end raspiness and "crunch"
Si/Ge- Warmer and darker, slightly less volume. Great combo for doom/stoner tones.
LED/Ge- More crunch than Si/Ge and not as dark. Also great for doom or, well, basically anything. This is my favourite combo.
LED/LED- Crunchy, raunchy, loud, gritty, etc. Lo-fi fuzzy distortion.
Si/Schottky- More high end crunch than Si/Ge, and a bit of a more dynamic character.
LED/Schottky- Really cool, interesting crunch.
None/Si- Tons of low end-- almost sounds like there's a clean blend even with the clean blend turned all the way down. Very smooth.
None/Ge- Similar, but more compressed and smoother.
None/LED- Similar to LED/LED, but without some of the crunch.
Si/None- Loud, weird distortion tone. Not much compression. Can tend to "rail bash", which results in a "farty" distortion.
LED/None- More output than Si/None, more open tone. More tendency to rail bash, but not quite as hard.
Then you've got a whole bunch of tones available for each diode config, here's a fair few of the first diode settings, Si/Si in a sound sample:
http://soundcloud.com/thewyrrejimes/gnometastic

And here's a list of the settings used:
0:00 - clean
0:11 - blend only
0:25 - blend + knob 1
0:40 - blend + knob 2
0:55 - blend + knob 2 & 3
1:13 - blend + all knobs
1:34 - blend, all knobs, toggle 1
1:52 - blend, all knobs, toggle 2
2:14 - blend, all knobs, toggle 3
2:36 - blend, all knobs, toggle 4
2:53 - blend, all knobs, toggles 1 + 3
3:17 - blend, all knobs, toggles 2 + 4
3:36 - blend, all knobs, all togges
4:00 - blend, all on, less gate
4:17 - blend, all knobs, toggle 3, less gate
4:40 - blend, knobs 1-3, toggle 3, gated muffy
4:57 - no blend, all toggles, all knobs, gated
5:21 - no blend, all on, more fizz, less gate
5:43 - blend, all on, more fizz, less gate, general wankery

It should be noted that I could have gone on for much, much longer - the knobs and toggles are all very interactive, and there are many, many more tones to be had here. I did not keep track of exact knob settings since this thing is going to be tweaked a little more before its official release (mostly the toggles will be tweaked, but still... also, I am lazy).

That pedal sounds badass man! It's not as expensive as I thought it would be either. There's a lot of overpriced "boutique" pedals on the market anymore. Dam you now I want one.

So I've had the Gnomeratron for a while now. The thing is insane. So tweakable it's scary (and kinda confusing at first). All the controls are very interactive. I've kinda got a handle on it now
