Hi all - not posted for ages but been lurking recently.

In just over 36 hours my 12 month old daughter Evie is due to undergo open heart surgery and I wondered if you could spare a thought for her.

Just moved to another part of the country two weeks ago and don't have anyone local to talk to really... guess it's why I'm posting this here.

I spent years in the army and served in Sierra Leone/Bosnia but to be honest that was easy compared to this - I'm so scared!

So any spare thoughts!

my grandfather is checking in to a hospital for a scheduled quadruple heart bypass in about 10 hours, too

so im in the same waiting-boat! keep in touch and sleep well

My cousin had an open heart surgery when she was around that age too because her heart wasnt fully developed. she'll be fine bro.

When my friend got his daughter she started to collapse immediately and had a heart surgery at the age of couple minutes. Now she's 6 years old.
