When I am in game and I press prtsc it just takes a screen shot of the desktop anyway to get it to take screens of in game?
alt + prtscr takes a sceenshot of the active window

I've been reading around the internets that you can't use the prtscr key with any game that uses directx, it just produces a black screen.

Just use Fraps, I have it running in the background on startup and you don't even know it's there.
Okay maybe it is DX 10 and above, because I couldn't take screenshots with the prtscr key in BFBC2 it just gave me a white screen when I looked at it later.GR34 wrote:

Some games save your screenshot to your HDD for you. Pretty sure BF2 did. Which game are we talking about here?
I used Vista 32bit but now I use 7 64bit and my screenshots are black. With Vista it worked just fine.
