The guy who runs this site paid the fee for a FOIA request to get the entire database of pistol permit holders in NYS and published it online. While that is technically allowed, I don't think the addresses should be included.
The irony is that the guy who runs the site used private registration for his domain. I guess he thinks some information should be private--his own.
What do you guys think about this and the mass dissemination of personal information for something like firearm ownership? I suppose I'm a little surprised that someone only needs to request the entire list, and not just a specific record on it. Can someone FOIA the DMV for a complete list of names, addresses, and cars for the entire state also?
