A 460 is a HTPC card? Wtf, a HTPC card is like a 4850 or less.
That doesn't answer my question, though, Finray. The card in my computer won't be used for an HTPC. It will just be doing HTPC duty whenever I want to watch movies on it.

I didn't answer your question, because I don't know. I think it'd be able to do video and audio over one HDMI, but I'm not sure, hence why I didn't answer specifically..
I'm still interested why that article though a 460 would be a good HTCP card.

My integrated HD 4200 runs perfectly as an HTPC card... pumps out 1080p over HDMI with no issues paired with an AMD Athlon II X2 245 Dual Core 2.9Ghz processor.

Does seem a bit crazy, 4 things I'd want in a HTPC card are passive cooling, low power consumption, small size and be capable of 1080p. As most HTPCs are tiny, a 460 wouldn't fit, if it did a PSU to run it probably wouldn't and the fan would be annoying. I'd go for something much cheaper probably a low profile 4350 with a passive cooler.Finray wrote:

Wouldn't an ION mITX platform or even one of the newer socket 1156 intel mITX with onboard (don't remember specific model) gfx card... I think it was a 4200 something gfx chip...TheEternalPessimist wrote:

Your thoughts, insights, and musings on this matter intrigue me
ION setups are ok for stuff playing in something like MPCHC, that actually uses the GPU for video playback, try and play HD video in anything else (HD stream from youtube for example) and it gets dumped on the CPU, usually come pissy little Atom thing, and they fail hard with 1080p, at least the one I was fucking about with at work did.FloppY_ wrote:

No idea about the other board, as you can chuck any CPU in then they'd be fine I'd imagine.
Fuck sakes, can any of you just please answer my question?????

Yeah Intel has some sweet mITX boards.. the 1156 / 775 would be able to run passive if you fit a big enough heatsink, don't go much higher than i3 and don't overclock..TheEternalPessimist wrote:

Not trolling, I really am this bad at Internets:
I've got firefox to automatically open certain file types with a particular program when clicking certain links, and it's worked forlikeever, but now it pops up with the window asking me if I want to open the link with the program or save the file, yet the "open with..." is checked as well as the "automatically do this from now on" box.
WTF.
Halp please. Karma in return (think I've got 1 left)

Reckon I can wash a Razer Goliathus mouse mat without any bad consequences? And by wash, I mean, go over it many times with a wet cloth, or if that doesn't do shit, drown it in bubbly bubbly water.
I need to stop eating over this thing...

Yea, I have the same mat and I've done it a few times. I actually need to clean mine again, too. I know it's gotten dirty when it gets a nice white haze over it and my mouse stops responding as rapidly.
Just restart, Ted, less annoying than closing the pop up every 15 minutes.

2560x2048 is QSXGA.
