Is a USB port really worth sacrificing 3/4 of the capacity for?FFLink wrote:
I completely expect them to have a poor battery-life, but you can't deny that the idea is pretty clever.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
Depends. If you are traveling, you could pack a few more of these USB batteries in the space the charger would take up.Freezer7Pro wrote:

I can't understand why anyone would buy such shit, not when you can either get proper rechargable ones or stick with the super cheap alkaline POS like rest of us.
A laptop + its charger vs. couple alkaline batteries. Alkalines win 10000 - 0 in space comparison.Ilocano wrote:

Fucking hell, calm down, I just said it was a clever idea, having USB-chargable batteries.
This is the "what tech did you buy" thread not the "someone set my tampon on fire" thread

Bought the following last friday:
Antec VSK-2000 mid-tower case.
2x 2M CAT-6 cables.
5-port Gigabit Switch
5x 30cm SATA2 cables.
Server is up and running, sooo much nicer than having stupid external drives.

Logitech V550 mouse for my laptop.
Small receiver and silver finish should go nicely with the aluminium body of my laptop.

Well, I guess I can't argue that the chow wouldn't be nice... My only question is what it has to do with my cell phone battery.

Well, I knew they ate dogs, but reffering to that cute little bastard as "chow" is a little harsh imoFreezer7Pro wrote:

Got:

- G35 Logitech headset
- G500 Logitech mouse

Two USB extension cables.
I only bought them because I need to make up the minimum order to buy a SATA cable with a right-angle connector on one end.

EDIT: Just checked prices here... for $2 per gigabyte I can live without a SSD
I'll wait untill I can get a decent sized one for under $100

Normally, this one would cost around 250-300 USD. I got it for 105. Testing it out on my PS3 first then maybe laptop.FFLink wrote:

Do want, I wouldn't mind a 100€ 128GB SSD for my games.
