I just think it's funny that porno is legal but prostitution isn't. I can't pay you for sex unless I choose to tape it and sell copies of it afterwards.
I just learned something recently. Apparently in California you can be 18 and have sex with somebody 2 years younger. I thought it had to be 18 and 18.
Also, why are some porn sites 21+ ?

I wonder if Obamacare addresses this, due to the STD's...
In Iceland, you can legally have sex at 14, and I have no clue what the law is concerning porn.DrunkFace wrote:
Australia for one. And as far as I can tell lots of other places too, such as the UK, Canada, New Zealand, a lot of Europe. But you'd probably have to check with the locals.-Sh1fty- wrote:

So therefore I was legally having sex with a "hooker" because I wasn't paying for any of it.
Best sex ever. And don't worry, I wrapped that shit.

I'm surprised the right-wing Jesus-Patrol haven't made the age of consent 21 tbh. With an exception if you get married.
The ironic thing is that some Bible Belt states have lower ages of consent than less religious states. For example, the age of consent in South Carolina is 14.ghettoperson wrote:

Correct re:here, pornos are R18. Solicitation was legalised a few years ago, though street prostitution definitely hasn't died off. There are a few brothels but they are pretty low-key. The "massage" parlours haven't changed their names.DrunkFace wrote:

This is a stupid law and needs to be changed. There is no reason that something that a woman can give you for free should be illegal. Granted you ae paying but fucking is legal, selling is legal, why isn't selling fucking legal? Makes no sense to me. When they legalize prostitution here in the US everybody get's a hooker on me!!!!

Legality of prostitution doesn't reduce sex slavery/trafficking in persons. It might reduce some of the other collateral effects (organized crime et al), but not the last bit.
- Paying taxes.
- Being eligible for pension.
- Taxing VAT for "services", I.e. running a business.
- Getting loans.
- Labour union.
etc.
Basically, being in the system.
Trafficking/slavery could be reduced by a saturated market. Once legal prostitutes (with obviously a higher status than illegal ones) would be in the market, who would do an illegal one?

And human trafficking...which draws from the above population, as well.Ilocano wrote:

Why are some porn sites 21+ ?
And above your tomb, the stars will belong to us.
I know I am just jackin around but how can they prove you are really having sex ? You could say
" My Penis was not actually touching her vagina, There was .0065 of in inch clearance all the way around because she just had a baby etc."
Isnt it the Laws responsibility to provide proof ? What could they do sneak up and put feeler gauge in ? For that matter couldn't you say that you were making (practicing) a porno movie, which is legal ?

'hardcore' porn requires you to be 21 to purchase it. Doesn't matter if it's a magazine sold in the store or a porn site, the law says you have to be 21 to buy it.-Sh1fty- wrote:

Shrug. If the site is based here, your laws are meaningless.DrunkFace wrote:

How is it legal for hookers to post ads out on craigslist or backpage? These are US based sites and prostitution is illegal here so that makes no sense to me.
Denmark has had the answer for years...
