I'm cool with taxing people for whatever incurs actual increases in costs of care, but I gotta say... the BMI is bullshit.
The problem with the BMI is that it assumes everyone has a small bone structure like me. The scale works fine for me, because I'm naturally thin. If I was a stocky person, it wouldn't matter how healthy I was, my bone structure alone would put me in the overweight category.
Basically, the BMI needs to be amended to account for variances in bone structures. Then, it would become an accurate measure of obesity and such.
