For a start, he never claimed to be Jewish. That was her assumption. He only lied about his name (and didn't really lie about that - he used a nickname that is what his friends call him (Dudu ()), which happened to be a common Jewish nickname for David), something I bet a lot of men have done to get laid.
There is no sort of responsibility to tell your partner all sorts of things about yourself before fucking them (unless you have AIDS or something). If she was so concerned about whether or not he was Jewish she should have made sure.
A better comparison would be a Catholic priest fucking a midget that he assumed was a child and then suing them for deceiving him into thinking they were a child.

The rape conviction was probably down to the religious/ethnic background to the case, but there are no specific religious laws that were applied here.
Apparently there is precedent for these sort of convictions in Israel, which doesn't make them any less stupid. A man who pretended to be a neurosurgeon to get laid was convicted for fraud.
