I don't really care how other people get their badges, to be honest. I'm just irked that I'll miss out on trying to get X BADGE that I got while Commanding.

I got 20 Repair Points as Commander, But I was Commander, So no Badge.
The global requirements are the hard part for badges, whats with the fuss about the IAR reqs

It is a bit scabby, but then I suck at getting big kills IAR, so I need to use it to get the vet/expert stuff.
This guy stated it perfectly.... Sorry for correcting your spelling but I just couldn't resist it...Naughty_Om wrote:
No, because commanding is a whole different class. Kit badges should only come during ground combat, not shooting while commanding,

Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.
If kit badges are supposed to be for kits they should be earned by the kit weapons themselves, not by surrounding the kit with armor or arty or airpower. Reduce the requirements for expert to 30 and require the kills be made with the kit weaponry.
hell yeah thats how i got my Vet. Engeneer
It does take a measure of skill to get 40 kills iar with artillery, don't say "oh it takes no skill" okay? stfu. Thanks.

I think you've hit the nail on the head there. Does the OP think that the kit badges should be only awarded as infantry or is it acceptable to get the Medic expert badge by sitting in the gunner position of a helicopter, blowing people to bits? If so, it's pretty much the same thing doing it with artillery instead of a 30mm cannon.
Agrees
I'm wif stupid
Everyone will get badges easy then and it will degrade people who have spent time getting the expert without it
we don't need a "commander class"
and we don't need to hear about how it's the same as being in a chopper.. because then you're gonna get all the kids that earned their shiney gold things while in a chopper getting defensive because they wouldn't want to think for a second that maybe you shouldn't be able to earn a medal for killing things and spending time as an infantry class while simultaneously earning a medal for flying around spending time and killing things as a helicopter pilot.
lets just look at this post as it is.
if you get a badge for commanding... and your numbers are command points... and yadda yadda yadda... why should what you do while in the command window count for a kit? the time should be clocked because it's nice to see how all of your time has been divided up amongst your classes, but earning a kit badge while doing command work (for which you get seperate badges) makes no sense.
this isn't a huge big deal but it does seem like there's a more appropriate division of medals.

Got my vet and expert Air defence while commander (in same round).
Wasn't expecting it, but I'm not giving it back either.
Got my expert command badge the same way - go figure.
