I know, but tank destroyers we're incredibly fucking cheap it was rediculous, they needed a range nerf just to balance it out a bit otherwise heavy tanks were worthless as you may as well spam a bunch of mediums and charge at the td's and blow them up because of overwhelmedness

Oh my fucking God, I know that. Problem is the counters are absolutely slow or there is a counter to my counter. Like artillery + tank destroyers= dominance on the ground if no side can afford aircraft. I just think that because 2 td's equals the cost of 1 heavy just with 2 guns instead, that the range should be nerfed to show it.

Must say, it's a hue improvement from the beta. Still doesn't have CoH's personality, but you can't really expect it to at that scale.

Tank destroyers are designed for a cheap medium and light tank population control solution, in real life they weren't competent against heavy tanks head-to-head, they were only ever effective against heavies when used for ambushing or if it was a fast tank destroyers(turreted ones that sacrifice armor for speed) to quickly move to a heavy tanks side and flank him before the heavy's turret turns. In ruse, flanking has no impact in combat and ambushing only works if you have a radio silenced area with tank destroyers and enemy tanks are in range. The range nerf balanced the heavy tank vs tank destroyer better, taking 2 tank destroyers to counter 1 heavy is more reasonable as 2 tds have the same cost as 1 heavy yet tds win due to outnumbering, while 1 td at the price of a medium tank counters 1 or more medium and light tanks depending on how far they are to the td and if they're approaching. Get my reasoning now?

Infantry can still wtfpwn heavy tanks from the woods, even if the danger is marked 'extremely high.' What I want to know is why the demo mission had nuclear artillery.

Also, the personality is all in the cutscenes. The units themselves couldn't possibly be more bland, other than the fact that they occasionally retreat.
