my thoughts exactly, it'll be a crazy fight if they stay standing up though. CammRobb, they are professional boxers.. that know BJJ, Judo, Muay Thai, & submission wrestling. How is there less skill? while they are boxing they have to watch for leg kicks & takedowns all while boxing and then know what to do if taken down.
no, carwin has a good chance of ko'ing lesner. lesner's boxing is suspect and carwin has tremendous power. i'd be surprised if lesner doesn't work his wrestling then go ground and pound. I think the match really relies on carwin's ability to stay off his backm3thod wrote:

I don't think any fighter in the UFC could even nearly be described as a professional boxer that knows BJJ, Judo etc. Their boxing skills are poor at best, even their supposed best boxers. But that doesn't matter, because they're two different games and that's the way I like it. Hope Carwin beats Lesnar, but I think it's too close a fight to call.illExtend wrote:

you cant tell me you can slop your way through any of those competitions, granted the pure art of each is warped to fit the complete fighting mold and thus loses some of what it was, but its necessary, you cant hold your hands in a fight the way you would in wrestling youll take strikes to the face, you cant have a pure boxing stance in a fight youll get your leg chopped down and shot in on, not to mention not everyone is good at everything, a straight grappler doesnt have polished striking and a pure striker will look like a fish on the ground
