Yeah I bought Osmos as part of an indie pack about a month ago. It's a lot of mindless fun. It does get pretty hard though.

I'd seriously buy more of these packs if it means I wouldn't be double-purchasing more than a couple titles, or could give the ones I do double-purchase to buddies. There's no reason for it. If I go to a store and buy, say, Warhammer 40K Dawn of War plat + Soulstorm and have a spare copy of DoW Gold, I'm going to give my Gold copy to a friend who doesn't have the game.

This and the fact that STEAM has a fuzzy track record with recognizing retail keys on even recent games that it does sell its own copies of are two of my biggest complaints with the system at the moment.

e.g. can you purchase a pack and gift it to yourself, after which you only activate the games you don't have, and then forward gift the rest to someone else?

The way I understand it, packs with extra copies of games you already own will be null and void unless they're specifically set to be promotional gifts like with the extra copy of Half-Life 2 that 90% of STEAM users probably haven't given away yet.
As far as I'm concerned, this is unnecessarily stifling for big buyers like me who refrain from the giant packs because most of the games within will just go to waste.
