Don't care for Civ 4, though fans may trounce me for saying so. Honestly, a knight can take out an attack helicopter...HOW.
While you're at it, get the Complete Edition for 9.99 EUR. Colonization is a bit meh but the extra content from Warlords and BtS makes CIV much better.Spidery_Yoda wrote:
Anyway, some new deals. Nothing particularly interesting or special today. The currency conversions THQ have used for Dawn of War are pretty hilarious. One thing that has caught my eye is Civ 4 for £3.something. How is it? I've never played a Civ game before and they're all pretty cheap just now.
not to mention the expansions suck and the overall gameplay/layout is a little underdeveloped.unnamednewbie13 wrote:

Picked up Max Payne 2 and Half-Life.
I have never played Half-Life before. Yeah, I know, I know, I'm an evil person and whatnot.

Don't sweat it. Feel free to choose between HL or HL: Source.mtb0minime wrote:

To Civ4 or not to Civ4
I went with the original since it's only $2 today.unnamednewbie13 wrote:

they're pretty much the same exact thing anyways.
HL:S has better physics, but they don't affect the gameplay at all.Miggle wrote:

It also has better looking water, but once again.
Civ 4 was fun when you have 4 people playing in a LAN game. Besides that, it kinda seems to bore after a few runs.
Fuck steam. ANother fiver gone. Got Max Payne bundle and Eve. I need to ask my boss for more hours to pay for that shit...
Just got me the HL1 pack - HL1, Blue Shift, Opposing Force, TF Classic.
Also grabbed Chrome (I remember a friend playing it ages ago, and it was only 2 bucks so what the heck) and Killing Floor. All for like $20.
Though I would still rather have the games on disk. I hate losing a third on my DL quota every time I reinstall.

Buy an external hard drive and stick your entire Steamapps folder on there, that's what I did. I have 119 GB of Steam games sitting there for if I ever need them, and it grows all the time.
Do what yoda said you can go one further and use steams backup feature and create backups of them all then if u want it reinstalled u just run the backup.
Btw anyone know if flotilla is any good, im quite temped by it.

New deals are up. I'll update the OP in a bit. Although I don't think they're really worth the bother today.

Well i picked up the Oddworld pack.
People have been reccommending it for ages and at $2.50 how can you go wrong.

I bought it a few years ago and I enjoyed playing them both for a while. I didn't complete either but they're good games.
Picked up Hλlf-Life2 Episodes 1 and 2. I'd only played a bit before when my brother bought the Orange Box. I'm enjoying the commentary as well as the games.
Actually, this isn't even necessary.Vilham wrote:

You can just copypasta the whole Steam folder and after running Steam once, everything will work as before.
Did that for the last 2 reinstalls AFAIR.
Don't bother getting DogFighter. I bought it about 2 weeks ago and it's one of the shittiest games I've played in a while. The controls are downright horrible.
Aww, thanks for the info. Was thinking about buying it!KEN-JENNINGS wrote:
