As many of you visiting the website right now wondering why the heck you're all getting kicked from Battlefield 2 Servers. There's a very simple solution to your problem... Update your Punkbuster! Head over to www.evenbalance.com and download the file name pbweb.exe for Battlefield 2. Place it in your pb folder located in your install directory, then run it. Simple as that, within minutes your version will be up to date and you can head back onto the battlefield.

Here is your answers on how to fix it works for some and no for others....

Download this and its coming from this website "http://www.evenbalance.com"
http://www.evenbalance.com/downloads/pbweb.exe

Once downloaded install into your Battlefield2\PB file

Example C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield2\Pb\

The downloaded files is a cmd file once moved into that file double click it.
A black cmd window will open and say Starting Pbweb to check for punkbuster updates.... and will start working.. Then everything should be fine.

Just found out by calling EA Support..

I called them again after this didn't work this is what they told me..

All gaming is now done until the figure out what is wrong with PunkBusters, However you can play on non PunkBuster servers, They said there will be an update on www.battlefield2.com website within the next 12 hours.

The guy I was talking to said they phones are now on a 30 minute wait due to this same issue and your not the only one he said 80 something people already called within the last ten minutes..

This Bits o well.. I'll keep you posted they are sending me info from the online masters office every hour...

I hate to say it but its not that, I made a call about 2 minutes ago to a friend *wink* and he says it's happened in other games before, its when punkbuster puts tyhe automatic update on the servers which causes everything to go trippy.

I'll make some more calls...

I realy wouldt worry about ur accounts / awards being wiped or not updating .. as soon as you win the award its sent to the gamespy servers (where you accounts are held), it may take time for servers to upgrade to tell you what you have tho. onlysimetimes it doesnt work ..
