In fairness it's pretty common for drum and bass albums to not be strictly drum and bass. If you listen to crash bang wallop by logistics or sub focus by sub focus there is quite a spread of genres. It's just unfortunate that pendulum don't do any of them well...
Now that I've listened to it a bit more...
There are way too many of those annoying stretched out vocals that sound like shit.
Remove them and I'd give the album 7/10.

I think when they were more consolidated (ie. Hold Your Colour) they did a much better job. They just are too spread out. Focus on a type of music that is less general than "electronic" and go nuts.JakAttaK wrote:

I think the description I would give this album is "generic". I dont know if it is just my nostalgia, or smaller music library back when HYC came out but it seemed much more unique than this album and In Silico to some extent.
