Author: tazz.
Version: 1.0
Userscript: Mirror 1
Userstyle: Mirror 1

I would suggest moving over to the userstyle, as it's "pre loaded" and doesn't need to download anything from my web server. This means it's all client side, and no sudden snapping to width.
------------------------------------------

ABOUT
------------------------------------------
The BF2s Widescreen userscipt is a script that tweaks the existing style sheet for BF2s "Two Tiers" by Jeff Minard (chuyskywalker) and adapts it for use with the resolutions currently experienced by larger monitors.

COMPARISON

INSTALLATION
------------------------------------------

For the userstyle, follow the installation instruction on the downloads page.

for the userscript (unsupported):

Google Chrome - Google Chrome has the functionality to automatically install userscripts as an extension. If you are currently running chrome, simply click here, then click "Continue" and finally "Install". Done!

Mozilla Firefox - Mozilla Firefox currently does not have inbuilt userscript functionality. However, you can easily install the extension Greasemonkey which can run userscripts with exactly the same functionality. Once Greasemonkey is installed, simply click here, and follow the prompts. Done!

Internet Explorer - Internet has a alternative called Twixie. I haven't used it personally, but i'm sure it's all sweet. Once installed, download here.

Opera - You can give this a go.

Safari - You can give this a try if you feel up to it.

Looks nice but I hate how it first loads the normal and then stretches to this so I probably won't stick to it. Nice one, though.

It's compatible with any size screen as it goes by a

if > 987px
width = 80%

thus being dynamic.

@DUnlimited.

Unfortunately, because the browser is replacing current values, the loading time takes time.

I even tried it without a stylesheet, that is

page1 = document.blahblhablah

if (page1){
page1.style.width = '80%';
}

but the loading time was equal.

Dunno about others, but I don't like it when forums get spread out that far on a screen. I have a 21" and my eyes get tired of scanning. Anyone else feel this way?

Karma'd for great work anyways.

I can see it being beneficial to have a massive screen for photo work(I do some myself), but for forums/text it's a nogo for me.

While it's a nice thing to have, BF2S has been there since the average screen width was 1024 pixels. I always use it to set the width of my browser when I'm using it windowed, so I won't be using this thing.

Good job none the less, I'm sure plenty of people have been longing for such a thing.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

I like it. Shame to waste all that screen space. If you can't properly read across your whole screen you're sitting too close tbh.

I can't decide if I love this or hate this. I'll give it a go for a while though.
