i can't believe i don't have the Indispensible one!
I love them. I still read them to this day. Guy was a genius. The social commentary is amazing.

I love calvin and hobbes because each strip, usually, was part of a bigger story. That and they were nicely drawn and almost always funny. My favorite part is calvin's unusually large vocabulary.
Take a look at garfield today, it's the same panel copied and pasted three times with bland, unfunny dialogue.

I also have the Far Side collection. The two are completely opposed and completely brilliant in their own way. Larson and Watterson are probably my most influential non-personal role models.
Far Side, Bloom County, Calvin & Hobbes, B.C., and Garfield were all staples of my newspaper comic childhood. I actually saved clippings of Garfield as a kid and have like a 20 lb notebook full of them.

But yeah, the babysitter ones, the snowman ones, the camping ones, and the tracer bullet/spaceman spiff ones are the best.
