I've often thought about sticking those little plastic clip thingies, that you nail on to the wall to guide cables along, to my desk for that purpose.
Like, a little plastic loop that fastens shut when you nail it in. bout the size of a small coin (5p), or w/e.

Hmm, I need to get some smaller bulldog clips. The only one I have here is too big, my phone charger falls back through it. But then smaller ones might not be able to grasp the desk ... dilemma!

how about this, recommend an upgrade gfx card for my aging 8800 gts 320 mb. 2x express will work for my mobo. Looking for significant upgrade, but not over $200. I know there are some good deals out there. Anyone up for a challenge?
