Most of us have been in the situation where your the last man standing. Doesn't it suck knowing that you have 32 other people looking for you? Along with an all powerfull commander and his artillery? Doesn't that jump off the hotel look really friendly right about now? Tempted to switch teams the moment a slot opens up?
I've seen a lot of guides on this forum but none really on what to do when you or your team has no flags left. This post will go over various situations and what you should do in each. The following tips were gathered mostly through logic, but also with some experiamenting on public servers.
Situation One: 3+ People Remaining-Commander Alive-Your Alive
If you have at least five people remaining on server you are more than capable of capturing a flag for your team. Here is what you should do...
1. First off, check to see if your commander is still alive. If he is, tell him to find a very good hiding spot that is sheltered from artillery so that he can aid you and the remaining players on your suicide quest. If he isn't alive, skip to Situation Two.
2. Find yourself a good hiding spot and create a squad. Invite the remaining players on your team to your squad. Pick a point on the map for your squad to meet. Make sure your aren't very far from a flag. Ask the commander for aid in chosing a deserted flag and meeting location.
3. When your squad is all there, ask for a UAV on the flag you have chosen to assault on. Quickly determain the safest route to the flag and go!
4. Make sure you and most your squad members are within the flag radius. 2 people should stand outside the radius so if your squad gets killed by arty, you can cap the remaining part of flag.
Situation Two: 3+ People Remaining-Commander Dead-Your Alive
1. Ask the commander if he can resign so you can take the plate. Ensure him that you will let him be commander if you get a flag back.
2. Find a good hiding spot and if your a sniper, set claymores on either side of you so if nothing else you get two more kills before you die.
3. Help the remaining players capture a flag by spotting enemies and placing UAV on the assigned attack point. DO NOT try to cap flag unless you in Situation 3.
Situation Three: You Are Last Standing
1. Ask the commander if he can resign so you can take the plate. Ensure him that you will let him be commander if you get a flag back.
2. Scan for a deserted flag to capture.
3. If the enemy main is close to the deserted flag and you are special ops, go and place C4 on their UAV and Satellite scanner if you can.
4. Find a good hiding spot near the flag and but not in plain sight.
5. Begin capturing the flag. Zoom in on your location in the commander screen to watch for enemies. As soon as the flag goes grey, detonate your C4 and if you can place a UAV on your location.
6. Hope and pray that there a bunch of idiots on the other team.
Situation Four: One Person is Alive-Your Dead
Try to get them to do the steps in Situation four.
