Really though either team could have won, Altidore's shot hit the post after a good save. England had good chances and more possession, a draw is almost the right result

I love the way the second half started out. Must've been one hell of a speech from Capello to make a team with players superior on every position to those of their opponent resort to throwing arbitrary long balls up to hanging forwards and hoping for the best. What good is having the better team if you play like you're massively inferior?

Simon Cowell made a good point on TV just now (never thought I'd say that) he says one of the reasons that football isn't as popular in the US on TV is because of the commercial aspect. Something like NFL is great for the commercials/corporatists because you can throw in an Advert every minute, wheras football there's guaranteed 45 minutes of unbroken action.
This is what I've also thought, American networks aren't prepared to host 45 minutes with no commercials, far too long in such a commercialised nation. This is speaking in a historical sense when football on TV was being developed, the game didn't fit the ethos of American corporatism and so it was dumped by the nation in favour of more revenue generating sports.
They also made the point of American sports always having a winner wheras in football a draw can be a common result
But the main reason I'm watching this programme is cos this random chick in some latex tight fitting american flag dress is hot, she's really dolled up but still hugely fuckable
