Hopefully it'll be fun this time.
If they give it more content than Fallout 3, and fix the combat, then it might actually be worth a purchase.DefCon-17 wrote:

Yeah, as I said in another thread, the combat is what put me off.Miggle wrote:

you of course would know so much about how unique fallout 3 is considering you've never played anything else on its engine which of course works the same way.
I just don't give a rats arse about medieval games, now get over it! I just said FO3 does mods different from regular steam games like Source, which has mods as either a seperate game or serverside...This is blissfully factually inaccurate. Your ignorance and stupidity never cease to amaze me.Mods are quite abit different from other games on fallout3
Mods tend to be handled differently on many engines, but Gamebryo is nothing new to steam and has no problems with it.

Vats was obnoxious, every time you tried to kill somebody with it you had to watch it in slow motion, often with the camera inside of some object making it impossible to see anything. It literally got tiresome after the first time. If you wanted to avoid vats, good luck, because even the most accurate guns have such immense deviation that hitting a target is more luck than aim, and to top it all off, training skills in weapons seems to do nothing about these issues.FloppY_ wrote:

what typo? the lack of a space between Fallout and 3? the combination of a and bit? the way you spelled separate?FloppY_ wrote:

Or was it that you didn't compare it to source games in your first post, which was not only not obvious, but also would have been stupid. Source is a completely different engine. it handles mods differently. most engines do. I addressed this in my response. Gamebryo has been on steam several times before and had no issues. you're retarded.

VATS was pretty epic the first 10 times or so, but that wore pretty thin too after that.
I do agree that when you shoot someone in the forehead their face shouldn't come flying off separeted cleanly at the neck...DefCon-17 wrote:

New trailer

While it's mostly combat, I get the sense that it will have much more memorable sequences in it than FO3 did. FO3's only truly memorable part was with Liberty Prime. It also looks like it's going to have a bit more humor. No surprising being that it's the Fallout 2 team (mostly) that's behind it. It also looks like they are trying to improve the combat, which is really good. FO3's combat wasn't it's highlight, but I don't think it was beyond salvaging.

I noticed a near-exact copy of a Barret .50 cal in there,, that's quite a bold thing considering the design philosophy....
Good to see an eyebot, that's a sign of the enclave beeing part of this
