There is also a problem with people getting butthurt over individual users and mods and then ranting at them for the rest of time.
Sometimes its a clash of egos as much as anything.

Back on fixing DST. To be frank, the only real problems with DST are when people get irate because others butt into their arguments, or when people post topics too vague to debate. And the occasional annoying back and forth debates between two people. Actually, if DST was done using the IRC instant messaging... so many problems would be fixed. People could go into different channels.

How about different DST Channels? Different channels for the same debates.

How about, for long "serious talk" arguments, not debates, just ST, people can only post once in the topics. They keep editing their post to show their views, and how they feel about the issue. That way, if someone wants to see someone elses opinion, they just scroll to their post. Then, if people want to debate, they can make either another hread for debating, or just pm the peson their views. That way, we have easy to find opinions, no derailing, and no killer arguments.

On a serious note,
It would make arguments easier to find. Though, it would prevent any large serious discussions from happening, so that could be bad. Actually, maybe you and the mods could set rules that limit the opinions we can use in debates. Because opinions keep DST alive, (Opinions in serious deiscussion) (and opinions that are used in debates) but sometimes, too many opinions end up derailing the thread and they make people think the person they're debating against is trying to make the argument personal... etc.

We shouldn't allowed to address each other personally in DST. Just our arguments.
