I used good old 3D Max and photoshop 5.5 lol

I wish I could make maps for a game like this . Would make my day . I love doing this stuff .

Yeah I really like 3DMax but I don't really care for the new versions . All they seem to do is change gizmos/icons , make eveything I need one more click away and they call it a better new product lol . I just sitck to the basics . Geometry and textures . 10 year old programs can make the games of today .
