Of course they CAN but people's dealings with the police should be ruled by the social norms every social interaction falls under, i.e. of course you shouldn't just tell a cop to fuck off when they're not talking to you or whatever. I don't 'advocate' it at all...you do understand the word 'advocate' yes?

Ideally cops serve the people. Often they don't. There are bad cops. They should be caught. Internal affairs can't do it all, so these people ARE helping catch criminals, who happen to be cops. Cops enforce the law. Telling someone to fuck off is rude but not illegal, whether they're a cop or whomever.

Do you spend all your spare time trying to catch criminals? No? Then you're not, by your argument, being a productive member of society. 99% of things people do don't benefit society. This might. There is no problem.

How is a cop breaking the law not a 'REAL' criminal problem? it doesn't make sense.

Pretty sure being an 'asshole' - by which you presumably mean talking back or dare questioning  is not a crime and covered under freedom of speech.
I just recognize that these occurrence are rare compared to the total interactions that occur daily
Many people would disagree, why take the risk? Film all cops.

1. "of course you shouldn't just tell a cop to fuck off when they're not talking to you or whatever." <------------ but feel free to tell them to fuck off when they are talking to you...Yet YOU have never done it, and probably never will...I wonder why. I doubt you would take your own advice.

2. THese people ere no where to be found BEFORE the immigration law was passed. THey don't give a fuck about bad cops, they want to bust cops racial profiling. By the way, how do you suppose they can do that if they only show up AFTER a car has been pulled over, and has no idea why? Stop with the bullshit that these people are just concerned citizens trying to help out IA's as junior IA officers or something. IA has got nothing to do with this or their bullshit concerns. Yet you do not take your own advice and simply tell a cop to fuck off and drive away...Why not? You seem to feel ya have the right.

3. No I don't I let cops take care of that, and if they suspect me for something I am going to be as polite and as respectful as I can. It is called respect for authority, if not simply respect for another person. THey are not beneifiting society by trying to turn every cop into a law suit. Sorry, you know your "concerned citizen trying to help the police catch criminals" is nothing but bullshit so stop trying to serve it up.

4. Already answered that several times. THis would be used in law suits. Law suits are money.  Cop filmed profiling news at 11, judgement awarded against city of Pheonix for profiling news at 6.

fucking learn to read. It's not my 'advice' is it? I wouldn't fucking RECOMMEND someone to tell a cop to fuck off. I haven't told a cop to fuck off cos I've had no fucking reason to. Or do you normally just walk up to people and tell them to fuck off apropos of nothing? Cos I don't.

You fucking DO have the right to tell a cop to fuck off and drive away. IT'S NOT ILLEGAL. But it's not my fucking ADVICE. Jesus christ you're so good at extrapolating bulllshit.

You have NO IDEA who these people are, or what they were doing before this law. If you go and do a background cj´heck on them let me know what they did do beforehand, cos right now you're talking about shit you have no idea about.

How do you know they only want to catch cops racial profiling? SO FUCKIN WHAT if they do. What fuckin difference does it make to you? NONE. you don't even fuckin live in Arizona. And maybe they'll catch a cop doing something else. Or maybe they WON'T catch a cop doing anything illegal, in which case GOOD - everyone's fuckin happy.

You haven't fucking answered it because if a cop beats someone up and someone films it, the only person getting any money might be the guy beatn up, not the cameraman. So FOR THE LAST FUCKING TIME HOW WOULD THE CAMERAGUY MAKE ANY MONEY. They fucking wouldn't, that's the answer. Just cos your life is ruled by money doesn't mean anyone else's is.

3. I think "everyone on earth" should behave within the realms of civility and morality, if they did, we wouldn'r need cops now would we?

4. Cops have earned the benefit of the doubt regarding respect. Sorry if you disagree. Try putting your own bullshit to the test, tell one to fuck off because you can not be bothered by his bullshit, when you know you didn't do anything wrong. PLEASE!!!

5. Well we live in an entitled society. Everything is about taking money form someone else who has earned it. We are choked with bullshit lawsuits and this would be just another example. If you got money, rest assured you will be suited at some point.

I am not the one saying you can tell cops to fuck off any time you want.
I am not the one saying you can disrespect authority with no legal ramifications.

You are the one spouting off this bullshit, yet have not seemed to do so yourself.

There is nothing absurd about the consequences to such actions. It is reality and correct.

What is absurd is your notion that you think you can or should get away with this sort of behavior, when reality is, you can not nor will not.

what obstructing an investigation or some shite? What if there IS no investigation. If you know a specific place where telling a cop to fuck off is against the law, please let me know. The actual act of saying fuck off isn't illegal, is it? No, it isn't. Thank you.

Nothing was said in the article because it comes from your head. I'm not sure how many times I have to say that if you get beat up by the cops and someone films it, and that film is used as evidence, then YOU'RE gonna get any money due NOT the ones filming.

So, if you want to try explain why the filmers would get any money, and why that is their motivation, and why it's a bad thing if cops breaking the law get caught, and why stopping police breaking the law isn't making society or citizens safer and why you're not spending all your spare time helping the police - which according to your own argument would make YOU an asshole (quote: "Instead of spending their time and energy actually observing for criminal behavior and aiding the police in making the streets safer for citizens, they choose to watch the police instead. What a bunch of assholes") - then be my guest.

lol ok, so you have never heard of disrderly conduct or failure to comply...being ordered to stop and you ignore them because you think you can will get you in trouble it really is as simple as that, regardless as to your grandstanding otherwise.

like most of your arugments, you saying so does not make it so.

You can be arrested for ignoring a lawful order by the police, you can not just drive away with a hardy "fuck you" when stopped because you think you can. You can be arrested for failure to answer questions on a scene. Arrested and charged are 2 different things. If you feel you can ignore the police while they conduct an investigation you are wrong, they have recourse. Period

Your questions have been answered, several times in fact. I have my opinions on the motives of these filmings. Time will tell if I am right.

shoulda saw your last comment coming, it is your signature argument. Anyway, Now you can say it again, as I am done.
