Hoping to unlock fourth core which would be nice to have a quad core for ~90 bucks. If lucky maybe it will be a Phenom in disguise and also have an L3 cache.
5770 is an upgrade from the 5670 (single slot) since the combo deal had the same ram and reduced the vcard price to 30$ more for double the power.
the question is 450W enough?

thanks for any responses ( the nice ones atleast )

450 should be enough for a single 5770 yes

also forgot to mention that 2 EIDE HDs are being transferred for storage and the 32 GB SSD is just for the OS.
will that work or would a larger SSD be needed. or should the SSD being swapped with larger disk HD? The idea was to have a fast loading system but you can get 1TB for the same price. definitely want OS away from docs, games, most programs etc so maybe 2 reg. HDs.

I would ask gg_Panzerfin about SSD's

afaik he is the one on the forums with the most experience on the matter...

32GB is the minimum for a SSD OS-disk, I'd get a little bigger to allow your programs to be launched from it too...

If you are going to get new HDDs get some samsung spinpoint F3's they are awesomely fast

What kind of money are you looking to spend on an SSD?

It's broken.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

There's DC on the output because the -51.5V that's supposed to be on pin 2 of the power amplifier board is 1.5V. That is caused by something on or before the AWR-101 power supply regulator board has failed, or because something on the power amplifier is pushing the voltage up. I really wish they would have spent the extra budget they had designing this thing on something other than an incredibly picky power amplifier which requires ten different bloody voltages to run. A normal one needs two. But if any of the ten voltages this guy wants is off by more than about 10%, it won't run properly. Which wouldn't be a problem if they would have designed a normal voltage regulator, but being Japanese, they had to invent some odd, new way of doing it which no other humans on earth can wrap their heads around.

TL;DR, it's broken and it's the Japanese' fault.

Alright, it works again!

I made a couple of fixes to it, but only one fixed the problem, the rest were just regular maintenance. Karma comes to the first person to spot the fix. There's a clue hidden in the image.

You turned a 980K jpeg into a 3.5MB PNG for the exact same quality?

Is there a way I can make a 20-30GB partition on my drive to install Ubuntu on?

idk how to do this if I even can...

I didn't want to nuke my Windows installing Ubuntu. I had been using Ubuntu after installing it through Windows, but it would hang up every once in a while, forcing me to restart the computer, which got really old after a couple days.
