Your right I used differant wording. Still had the same meaning. You better believe lawyers were involved way before you came along to do your job. You know why? COSTS.lowing wrote:
If you had said, we troubleshoot and repair systems, you would not be showing how little you know. You didn't say that. I did.nlsme1 wrote:
Calling me a dumbass is not where you agree with me. That was just you acting like a kid. It was when you stated you troubleshoot, repair, and install. What I was saying you did all along. Only you innitially said I know fuck all about it. Then you say thats what you do.
And when you follow the FIM and can't solve the problem what do you do? You alter parts? Or do you report the issue, and get a response on what to do next? Because if you do any more then that, you better be more then a mechanic.
Mechanics in manufacturing companies install systems as well as troubleshoot and repair them. You also obviously have no idea what it takes to troubleshoot a system in order to find the faults, especially those that do not present itself readily.
Mechanics will ask other more experienced mechanics for help in solving problems, might even have to go back to the manufacture for a solution. A lot of times the manufacture will issue bulletins about known issues with a fix for them.
One thing is for sure, none of us has ever called a fuckin lawyer for a parts supplier to troubleshoot an aircraft.
All in all, your a mechanic. Thats not an insult. Its a good job, with good pay and benefits. You probably make more then me. It is just a statement showing YOUR LIMITED EXPERIANCE. It was only stated to show you knew fuck all about what I was speaking of. COSTS.
If I am wrong, argue the fact. But, to assume mechanics know ALL the ins and outs in the industry is akin to saying Pep Boy's knows how GM/Ford/Chrysler operates.
