I'm going to college for civil engineering but I fucking hate that job. Its a job though, and it makes you money so you can do the other things you want. Find something you like, and go for it, its not that difficult. Get out of your self-depreciating-pity-me-I'm-lazy-spiral. Go out back and dig a well or something, if you haven't figured out what you want to do when you hit water, ask someone to fill it in to.

This could be your primary issue. Start experimenting with hobbies and when you find one you're interested in, pursue that in relation to a career. The internet is often the wrong place to find moral support, but, if you want opinions, something will kick your interest up enough to get off the antidepressants would be good. The mere process of trying out new things might actually pull you out of the rut.

Rest assured that at 21, you're not really that old yet to be living at home still. It's a good idea to, meanwhile, find something to do that will allow you to afford to get out from under your parents, since living at home can be a great contributor to a low opinion of oneself. Despite the current market, relocation could be a valid goal to set for yourself.

If you want my (un)professional opinion, you sound more like a case of burnout than straight-up depression. If it's bad enough (if you don't think anybody cares about what you write), try to cut off ties to the faceless internet while looking to form acquaintanceship with 'real' people.

Chances are you probably already know what you should do, and that some of us have gone through/went through much of the same thing. The trick is in not for finding someone to tell you what to do, but to do it of your own volition.
