but people on here do.  and its fucking lame that people cry and moan when its islam and lol when its some other religion.
I don't like people calling Christians violent because a group of Jesus whackos does something stupid, so meh.
The second Christianity make a name for itself as an international terror threat, we will talk about it, until then no worries.
It is important to remember. The world has not labeled Islam......Members of Islam has labeled themselves and are proud of their claims and their action in the name of thier religion

It is not people who just happen to be MUslim carrying out these attacks and threats. It is people carrying out these threats and attacks BECAUSE, in their own words, they are Muslim and it is their duty. DO not blame those of us that simply take them for their word.

what difference does temporality or date make?

christians were pioneering spreading terror and death way back when the muslims were still figuring out maths, astronomy and rudimentary science

great job

well within the last 100 years plenty of christian (either by administration or socio-culturally) countries have terrorised non-christians.

colonialism was practically christian-endorsed terrorism and exploitation, especially in terms of the west vs. the orient

the catholic church is still doing all kinds of awful upon the african continent

many separatist or revolutionary groups have been either christian by identity or partisan in their actions, e.g. ireland

christianity is hardly the terrorism-free religion that you see it as. extremism exists in every facet of human life and belief system.

ya got a point, however, there seems to be distinct difference between what you are speaking of and what is happening within Islam.

just because so called christians did these things does not mean they did them in the name of Christianity.

errr lowing the violence between catholics and protestants in (northern)-ireland is explicitly and intrinsically related to denominational partisanship

we colonized all of the orient and african continent with a western-christian mentality that heralded us as the cultured, enlightened ones with the correct religion, with the liberal (or more sinister racist) motivation of 'educating' the rest of the world. the immediate violence, rape and exploitation is rivaled in terms of monstrosity possibly only by the lasting influence of the christian church now on these countries - where it helps to perpetuate gender/class divisions, spread disease/restrict humanitarian aid, and further perpetuate partisan violence. gj christian church.

I couldn't care less what the catholics and protestants do to one another in Ireland. It is nothing more than gang violence, and it stays with them.
Islam is not only fighting amongst itself, it has taken the fight to the world who chooses not to bow to Islam.

again lets move toward current events shall we? Stop speaking of hundreds of years ago as if it what is current events today. It is undeniable that Islam is the reigning king of religious based terrorism in todays world. Lets stick to that point.

well, considering how far you've narrowed it down and how reductivist your logic is... you're not really making a point

[religious-based] terrorism [today].

well it's the best out of a small category, really, isn't it? and there's still cross-religious violence in areas of asia and indonesia that is more closely related to christian-genocide than islamic bombings.

I haven't narrowed down anything. You are trying to encompass events of 1000 years ago as relevant to this discussion. I am keeping it where it belongs.

because, to have such a narrowminded view with no consideration of history (even very recent history) as a critical part of your denunciation of islam... is... a little extraordinary. extraordinarily stupid. you can't denounce a religion based on the basis that it just-so-happens to be 'the most violent religious form of terrorism today' when you're completely turning a blind-eye to yesterday. i'm hardly taking the content of the discussion to "where it doesn't belong". your ignorance is a key part of your argument's basis.

Sorry, the crusades and spainish Inquisition has got dick to do with Islamic terrorism today. Even the terrorists do not mention these events in their reasoning for their actions, so why the fuck are you? You are making exuses that the terrorists don't even buy.

i was discussing the precedence of religious-based terrorism, not stipulating that islamic terrorism is a kneejerk reaction to the catholic inquisition (although it is, of course, a rebellion against christian neo-colonialism in the holy lands).

You are making points long past and not relevant to this discussion of Islamic terrorism. To be clear, I do not give a shit what happened 1000 years ago, you can not tie it to todays events regarding Islam..................... so don't try

lowing you refuse to see anything in context, and with geopolitical matters, that's a fundamental fucking mistake

your logic is so reductionist that it practically infers that these terrorists blow themselves up just out of sheer boredom, or for fun

Nope, and they sure as fuck are not blowing themselves up because of the spainish Inquisition or the crusades. or northern fuckin Ireland.

so stick to the reasons why and the fact that ISLAMIC terrorism is the headliner in TODAYS world.

dude it's in fucking arabia. the orient, middle east and african continents have been colonized, post-colonized and neo-colonized by the christian-west for most of (modern) history. politically and economically we still dabble in all aspects of their lives: deposing unfavoured dictators, funding subversive guerilla and rebel insurgencies, buying their politicians and signing up their resource contracts. culturally we have been taking away the region's heterogeneity and heritage and transforming everything into a homogenous, capitalist-corporate hegemony. they're pissed. they're reacting to, as i termed it, christian neo-colonialism in their back garden. to consider islamic terrorism without any context or any real understanding of the history (which is crucial to properly assess and understand the current) is to be ignorantly flawed in your argument. it's simple.

bullshit.

no Islamic terrorist today has ever fought against or knew a world that was not colonized. It is not their fight. It is a fight that is long over. Also like I said, these are not excuses cited by the terrorists, so stop making excuses for them. Their reasoning is the spread of Islam and the death of non-believers. They have no intention of living and let live even if western society left the Orient, the ME, Africa or where you are using as an excuse for blowing up kids.

wanting to spread islam outwards is an extremist, radical reaction to (neo)-colonialism. you are extremely naive if you think that the effects and influences of the western-world have not been felt since we ceded power and gave it back to the former colonies. we still ran the show through shadow governments and socio-economic dependency for 50 years afterwards. the bourgeoisie that developed under freshly-liberated colonies was a ruling elite concerned with the interests - political and financial - of the former rulers in europe and america. the extremist minority of the islamic world are tired of their values, culture, heritage and people being polluted and stolen away by western influences. it's the exact same xenophobia seen by china and japan and the rest of the orient during the great age of anglo-european diplomacy. it's nothing new. to not see it, you must be blind.

also leave out the "blowing up kids" histrionic melodrama. christian 'radicals' have blown up lots of kids, too. as well as putting their hands down their pants. you're not moving me to the point of turning any opinion with your blown-out rhetoric and overblown exaggerations. it may work for a republican rally in alabama, but not here.

It has been taught by Islam and Muhammad to spread Islam by the sword long before the US existed or any of the events you want to tag as Cristian terrorism. Again, it is not an excuse the Islamic goons are using so stop rationalizing it for them.

Would be great if, blowing up kids were an exaggeration, it is in fact a very real action used by Islamic goons in order to support their religion. Might wanna wrap your head around this fact and come to grips with it.
