Depends. Some tats can look good. Others can look terrible.
Anything large (more than 20cm2) looks horrible imo.

Tattoos are a permanent memory of a temporary feeling.

what kind of pain is it, getting a tattoo?
I'd never get one, probably, but I'm just curious as to what it's actually like
It's been almost ten years now, but from what I remember it's about equivalent to snapping a rubber band against your skin a few hundred timesMekstizzle wrote:

I heard that quote from my high school econ teacher, so of course the only kinds of tattoos us high school kids are gonna get are crap along the lines of, "Wow I really like that band Atreyu, they're so cool! Let's go get tatts of them! Ok!"
However, if kids/siblings/parents are permanent things, permanent memories, why do you need a tattoo for that?
It's a needle digging into your skin. Take a guess. Although, the artist doing mine said "Most people tell me 'Oh, that's not too bad' after I do the first two lines". I followed suit.Mekstizzle wrote:

Then your artist was heavy handed or you're a pussy man I never had any pain afterwards. Nothing more than what a sunburn feels like anyway.Poseidon wrote:

Once again, it's the day after that the real pain comes in. The skin is bruised pretty bad and can get very swollen. It took 2 days for the pain to go away.
btw, I guess nobody here who's anti-tattoo has ever heard of tattoo removal..
Well, it was weird. When I'd stand still the pain would be absolutely unbearable. I was helping my public speaking teacher set up the projector and I almost fell to my knees because the pain came rushing in. But when I was walking and lying down, I felt almost nothing.JohnG@lt wrote:

I'm sorry but if I saw you walking down a street with shorts on and saw that I'd wager you were some stupid ass frat boy drug user who thought the last 18 years of his life were some unique odd journey when it was the same crap everyone else went through but because it wasn't what the cast of Degrassi experienced it was such an odd journeyPoseidon wrote:

The only reason I might regret it is that in the year 2040 I really doubt anyone's going to know who the Grateful Dead are. lol
