Facebook just rolled out their new "Community Pages" feature. It has basically replaced the "Become a fan" feature and updated the Interests/about me section. They're now linked with this new thing ... erm, bad explanation but you'll see what I mean when you go update your profile.

Go to your profile (Info tab), there'll be a new box to update your profile.
Anyhow, my point is:
You can now choose to hide your friends list and what you're a fan of! Previously this was always public information.
However, you will still appear on Community Pages if you mention the topic in your status update. For example, if you say "I love cooking and indie music" your status will appear on the Cooking and Indie Music Community Pages.
