Basically I would like to see something like in America's Army and Ghost Recon, where if you get injured in a part of your body it has effects.

Say your leg gets shot up, you cant jump, and your run and walk speed are decreased by 1/2 because you have to drag your leg when walking.
Getting shot in the arm would effect accuracy, although having below a certain level health would effect accuracy. Also how much damage you take would have an effect on your stamina bar.

This would obviously make medics more important. But there are obvious problems with it, like what if you get shot in the leg way off in the corner of the map, it could take you 20 minutes to crawl to the nearest base. So maybe once you get to a certain damage level, you no longer get penalized for suiciding.

I do understand the concept of fun and playability vs realism, but I think this was implemented well in the games mentioned above.

actually, after reading this, i realized something that's missing from BF2 that CS players have been enjoying for a long time.  what i would like is to bring down the console after i hit someone or die and see the damage that i did to my enemies in hitpoints, percentages, whatever.

Yeah i loved that, it would also bring down some of the frustration of those moments thinking "How the hell did he kill me so fast??" by being able to see HS's. or maybe a tweak to the kill report to sya something like PlayerX[HS][m16a2]PlayerY.
