Exactly what I thought. That they then topped it off with the girls seeking shelter in the "Dust Off" ride or whatever it was called made me scratch my head. I mean, come on.unnamednewbie13 wrote:
Yes, I also recall that, and it makes no sense to me as a character motive. They certainly gave enough of a fuck to be sharp as tacks for the first half of their face time, so the least the writers could have done was give them a BELIEVABLE reason to go get eaten. It just seemed way too uncharacteristic.haffeysucks wrote:
iirc they went the amusement park because they wanted to have a good time and remember their childhood, they didnt care about the zombies. call the cops, they dont give a fuckunnamednewbie13 wrote:
Because it was brought up, I give Zombieland a 7.5ish/10 for zombie movies. You just can't judge silly zombie flicks side-by-side with other genres. Take into account Bill Murray, and it's an 8.5. What brought it down so low in my opinion (going on the US A,B,C,D,F scale, 7.5 is low) was the fact that it was never explained WHY the criminally crafty sisters, in all their ingeniousness, thought it was a good idea to go to a theme park. See, I thought from the trailers that the group of survivors was driven there. In the movie, they went there willingly in the middle of a zombie swarm and turned on the lights so they could ride the rides.

The rest though was sublime in my opinion. Bill Murray
