Flawless victory.

Ripped everything out, all the way down to the motherboard, cleaned everything, put it all back together with new CPU, booted straight to windows first try.

2 Samsung F3s only get around 240MB/s iirc.

With a blistering 9.77 millisecond read latency! Sorta like driving a 400 km/h car that does 0-100 in 20 seconds.

No, Sydney has more than just 2 drives in Raid0 iirc..

And you said those were faster than F3's which are some of the fastest consumer drives on the market...

And as far as I can tell. Those reading are seperate for each drive...

So they must be SSDs

No, they're not. It's more than 2 drives in Raid 0. The different results are at the beginning, middle, and end of a test. Then there's a random read, and a buffered read. All to the same 'drive' (raid drive).

So you are saying he has HDDs more than twice as fast as the fastest drives on the market?

Sydney has magic drives then?

Doesn't matter if it is 2 drives in raid0 or 10 drives in raid0.. if the readings are seperate for each drive...

While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

It's not the same physical drive, but it is the same virtual drive.

Just modded my Sennheiser PC350 headset, noticed a really nice improvement in the soundstage, bass and better separation of highs, mids, lows.

Well the current CAT 5es are a tad too short and I'm constantly knocking my router over, so I need to buy new cords anyway, just wondering if paying a little extra money will make thay big of a difference.

unless you live around heavy EM interference, CAT5e will be fine for gigabit ethernet

The PC350's use the same drivers as in the HD595's

There's little sense in moving to Cat 6 UTP. If you're doing it in-wall, it could make sense to put in 6a, but if it's just a bunch of stranded patch leads, then stick to 5e.

So do the HD555s , except they have better casing, better cable, better air intake and more comfortable padding.

Daaayyyum Finnny! You win

I do prefer my more closed, isolated feel though. I've got a pair of open Goldring 'phones for music but I keep going back to my Senns. I don't like distractions!
