Why the megahalams?
Why not? The current cooler I got has bad contact resulting in high temps. Looks like it didn't like the MX-2 paste either....Microwave wrote:

Seagate Barracuda 1TB. Been going strong with WD but this was the best I could find at the local store. Also it's nice to get with the times and have a decent amount of storage. (Only had 2x250GB up until today )
Three of these:
Peerless PA740 Articulating Wall Mount for 22" to 40" Displays (Black)

An awesome Sony cassette deck that'll fit far better into my system than the black one I had before, a 22" Benq monitor, and a 42" plasma TV.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
I hope you got both the screens for cheap...
What am I thinking, you're F7P, of course you did.

LG 47LH55 at Fry's last night. Got another ready for pickup, but thinking about getting the 55LH55 instead.
Just arrived at home, now gotta wait a week or two until I'm thereWinston_Churchill wrote:

The plasma was free since it has a couple of issues that need addressing, nothing really major though. The 22" I traded for a 17" one that I fixed up earlier. It has the same two problems as all Benq monitors get sooner or later, and I've got enough parts bunkered to fix fifty of them little brats.Finray wrote:

So yeah, it was pretty cheap.
Gonna see if I can manage to get my hands on a 47" plasma with a blue stripe running down the right side that we've got lying around the workshop on Monday. Choo choo.

And what will you do to fix that?Freezer7Pro wrote:

How did you fix the 42" and what was wrong with it?
I probably wouldn't bother to fix it. I'm used to a blue line, my laptop has one as well. The problem is probably a bad solder joint for on one of the cables between the driver boards and the panel. It's not a very easy fix if you don't replace the boards.CammRobb wrote:

And the 42" I believe has some bad caps in the plasma driver boards. They make the picture a bit noisy since the panel is getting rather dirty power.

I could use one or two free plasmas too.

Those seem to want high rpm fans too. There are Thermochill PA120.3s available in local shop tho...Nic wrote:

I thought thermochills had a different fan spacing than other brands, It may just be the older models though, you may want to make sure that you get a rad that fits the spacing for your 800D.GC_PaNzerFIN wrote:

Fucking government is now charging people based on the electronic items you buy so they can use that money to dispose of them when the time comes So I got an e-mail asking to pay an extra $12.50
Meh, seems fair to me. Though yours is high lol, I had a $1000 monitor purchase and it was under $10ebug9 wrote:
