Don't know if it was said, But ever time you replace your brakes you MUST either replace of cut the rooter. If you don't you're just throwing your money away on the new brakes for they'll get groves in them to the old rooter.

I have the same thing going on.. same make and model vehicle. I changed my pads two months ago. Its not crazy loud, but it's definitely there when I brake. It's only been doing it for a few days. Hopefully it will dissipate.

Original pads never squeaked. I changed them with plenty left because a friend of the family (a mechanic) looked at them and said they were glassed over and should be replaced.

But some pads the break in procedure tells you to brake hard.
From the HAWK box right in front of me...
1.) After installing new brake pads make 6 to 10 stops from approximately 30-35mph applying moderate pressure.
2.) Make an additional 2 to 3 hard stops from approximately 40 to 45 mph
3.) DO NOT DRAG BRAKES
4.) Allow 15 minutes for brake system to cool down.
5.) After step 4 your new pads are ready for use

Meh, in all the brake job ive done so far, never had to use this stuff. Just make sure the rotor are not all stripped, but some good pad in the caliper....Enjoy!phishsux wrote:
