I agree with the OP and also am curious why we get little thanks for stopping the slaughter in Albania.

As a side note, Albanians actually love us.

Albanians are also some of the most Westernized Muslims out there.  They are completely different from Muslims in places like Afghanistan, Pakistan, etc.

Bill Clinton Boulevard is in Kosovo, and not surprisingly, they like Bill Clinton quite a bit -- maybe more than the average American does.

In addition, they named another street after Dubya.

Both of these roads are in Pristina (the capital of Kosovo).

Apparently, they also have several streets throughout Kosovo that are named after Woodrow Wilson.

As the member of NATO the US can't pick and choose what battles they want in on.  I distinctly remember watching news reports in 98 stating the US was very reluctant to get involved.....anyway you don't see the Brits/Danes/French/Dutch moaning about Afghanistan as part of the NATO collective effort there do you?

Then tell me why nobody did anything until the US started? As I said, it was spearheaded by the US, everyone else just followed.
