lolololol no. my uncle (has the shotguns and a few rifles) has had 6 (6!) random spot checks already this year. another uncle had two of his shotguns confiscated last year because the po-po wern't happy with the quality of his gun-safe. the only reason a lot of people manage to get firearms is because a shitton of the population own a shitton of land, and iirc thats a major stipulation for shotguns in particular, firearms to keep your land clear from vermin etc.

otoh, when im in England it's stupidly easy to get a firearms license (compared to the rest of the UK anyway). lovely affluent area with folk who drink pimms and shoot birds errrrryday.

So I ended up trading in my HK 93 (It had some issues and it wasn't comfortable for me to shoot) for a bushmaster and a couple upgrades...a flip up front sight and an ACOG scope



The scope was a used one the gun shop had gotten from a former marine, and it even has the bible verse on it that caused a bit of a stir a while ago.
