And I was wondering if it would be possible to mod one of these to fit with an air cooler:

tbh.
Nah, I'm looking to sell my 4890s so I can get this card and utilize my 3 monitors
Last time I was at a nearby electronics store, they had 1.5 TB HDDs for $100, but they were made by Hitachi. Worth it? (I'd only buy 1 because I'm broke, so no RAID 69 backup magic; plus, I don't even need that much space, so I'd be ok getting a smaller drive so long as it lasted longer; I'm more concerned about the data and not losing it than having enough space for it)
I've had Hitachi's for years, no problems.
dog years
Sapphire Vapor-X imho...Computer_Guy wrote:

Your thoughts, insights, and musings on this matter intrigue me
Need help buying a new SSD. I heard there is a difference between MLC and SLC. Which one is better and why?. Thanks in advance.

SLC is better, faster and more durable but also much more difficult to manufacture = very costly.Blade4509 wrote:

The new MLC drives are good enough for home user, servers still prefer SLC for best io performance.
I wouldn't look at any other SSD atm than Intel X25-M G2 series.

Cool, I might get that soon with my birthday money and some other money, when I get at least a laptop. (Current rig chugs @1440x900, I don't even want to see the performance @ 192x1080) Hopefully I'll be getting a new desktop in the next month or so.Little BaBy JESUS wrote:

Thoughts on it are appreciated.
Will be used mostly for school, maybe some older games as well.

to people with a cursory knowledge of CSS/HTML:
how do i add links to my twitter, last.fm and personal website respectively to the side-bar navigation pane of this tumblr theme?
ive seen people modify the standard menu from 'following', 'next page' etc. to include custom fonts and links- i know it's easy, i just can't be bothered to look into such a small superficial change

Amazon with free shipping or Newegg with $13 shipping?
Hopefully will be ordering in the next couple days, to use for schoolwork and everything until I get around to getting a desktop after the BSA National Jamboree, so like August...

Vcore testing, ~3.8GHz well under stock voltage. Temps are sound optimized ( very low speed fans), thats why 70c temps.
