i don't want to hijack the commercial thread, but accents were mentioned and I found this video that goes into Michigan/Detroit accents...it's long, but interesting..not the guy...the guy is stupid and talks to quietly. but he talks in the same "accent" as me...

I can't believe Method only knows the diff. between Southern and not-Southern accents New York and Boston and Minnesota are obvious ones too.
