Air-to-Air missiles and Helicopters: A Case study in Bullsh*t

Short and sweet today ....

After a few rounds on Wake and a couple on Dalian I noticed that Air-to-Air missiles regularly pass through attack and transport helicopters without doing any damage. Is this new to patch 1.22 or has this always been the case?

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

yes deffinit it happens to me evry map especially when it comes to blackhawks they just go right threw them

I have had it since 1.2, the missiles tend u phase through trans heli's/ attack, same with tow, goes through tanks and vodniks.

I have had that prob too. Mostly with TOW missiles, and the AT kit missiles. Sucks watching your weapon pass through the target as they trace the smoke back to you and pump a few 25mm shells into ya.

I shot 9 tows at an apc on Leviathan, they all went right through the APC. He turned around fire a single shot at me and I was toast....wtf?

I shot a missle at a hind after the 1.21 patch and it just spun around him about 5 times before killing him, looked mad but was way messed up. The air to air battles are just depressing now.
you used to have to chase a guy to get the kill in a real "hard" dogfight, now you just have to be behind him and have 2 missles left. i mean when i use guns on another jet they just arent expecting it and they dont react quickly cause everyone is just relying on the missles to get the easy kill.

but the stinger sites was a needed improvement they have at least become something you should be weary of when you're gonna pound the ground. Now the J10s are the only jet that you can out turn a missle in which makes Wake Island all about the J10. Not always but you need 10 times more skill in an F35 to down a J10.
the J10's need some adjusting IMPO

Yeah people... helicopters now can be killed just with chaingun... missiles are quite useless...

Missles still work against heli's but you pretty much have to use them like pre 1.2.

You have to fly in really close and release at the last moment with missle lock once their flares are gone and you will still get hits. MGs are still the way to go, but release a missle on your way past if you have the chance. You have to do it so last minute that you barely avoid collison though so its not the best method nor is it for everyone.

interesting... I didn't know that, I had finally lost hope that blackhawks could be hit by jet missiles...
anyways, I leave em for the attack choppers to tv mislle pwn them, MGs take a few passes.

usually they do alot of damage..to all the friendly vehicles on the other side. Its allways great seeing your missles lock on the enemy, go through it like swiss cheese, and get a ton of tk puns... I say blame EA not me....

learn what the cannon is on the jet
it is suicide 2 get in a blackhawk or a cobra with me in the j10
i LOVE THE 20MM ON THAT THING
i usualy can go around 10 kills before low on ammo
and i reguraly run out of cannon rounds before i even use any bombs or missles
they are the best against light targets and will do damage to any viechal
u just need 2 learn how 2 lead targets and u will get everything short of APCs tanks and mobile AA in 1 pass easily

just watch the sky for them and switch to missles if u see they are hovering or flying away or towards u and u should get them
but i usualy just use gun

He is right, the most evil jet of them all is the su34 that the mec has, the su30 has a pussy cannon on the front of it, the cannon on the su34 will rip an essex turret in half before you start to fully render the ship, and if your approach is good enough you can sweep both of the blackhawks int he same run and then come down the landing strip after turning the jet around... woot give them 5 to the dome and head back for re arming.
