Senior year in high school this guy walked around with a guitar nearly every fucking day and would only play that song. And it didn't even get better over the course of the year either.

Just some other songs that come to mind that I have learnt.

<- these guys should have been in the closing ceremony, not the shit that was on there..

plus guns and roses, metallica, everything.

Lol, I've been learning acoustic for a few months.. got any tips on how to not suck? Tbh I need to improve my left hand dexterity, cause while I play right handed, I write with my left.. so my fingers don't usually do that much.. if that makes sense..

I'm the exact same lol, left hand writer, right everything else..

No real tips, just practice. Your fingers will teach themselves. It also helps to have a good teacher like me.

Also I went with Stream of Conciousness by Dream Theatre

Its a long 10min+ instrumental so here is one of the good bits:

Keyboard in the live version is a little louder than the recording version, but not un-bearable

Just learned this (I play rhythm so it works as a good practice song) myself. Took me a good 15-20 or so tries + tabs, but now I've got it all the way through (with the exception of Dimebag-grade solos, naturally). It's simple to learn, fun to play and a good exercise.
