Start of a new year. My favorite team is the Columbus Crew.

Currently watching the New York vs Chicago match. Damn nice new stadium they have in New York.

Who's who in the league. Who are generally shit and who are generally good. Any big name players? Who have the biggest fan base. I guess I'll follow Chicago Fire given that the windy city is my favourite locale in the US.

i dunno about big names. landon donovan would be one. bekham ofc but he is on loan still i think. new york apparnetly almost signed ronaldo. zidane might play here some time this year. ryan giggs maybe. it seems you either have young guys making a name or old retired players from the EPL and such. Still kind of a young league and expansion is still going on every year.

as for biggest fan base, i dunno. i can tell you my team Columbus had a "friendly" match against West Ham last year (or two years ago) and a fight between supporters broke out.

they also have the Concacaf which is kind of like the UEFA i guess.

Nah, He's been with United since he was 13, he's kept to himself, has a great respect for Fergie, Beckham was always going to be a celebrity so moved where the money was. Giggs, Scholes, Neville are United through and through.

well, it depends i guess. some cities dont seem to care (like houston) but others like columbus, new york, salt lake, seattle, etc seem to have a good following. it has improved every year since the beginning as far as i can tell. and the more teams they add will hopefully create a second division like they have in england, which would improve the gameplay even more. plus with the english league coming to an end and this one starting, its nice to be able to watch something....without waking up at 7am to watch it.
