Thierry Henry has admitted he is not relishing the Champions League tie against his former team Arsenal.
Henry became a legend in north London after eight trophy-laden years with the Gunners and is set to face them for the first time since leaving for Barca in 2007.
The France striker, 32, concedes the first leg of the last eight tie at the Emirates on March 31 will be particularly difficult.
He told Sky Sports: "I'm not saying I won't try to fight or whatever because that's the way the game is. But I don't want to play against Arsenal.
"It will be weird for me to step on the pitch, even if it's at the Emirates and not Highbury, with another shirt on."
When asked if he would celebrate a goal, he added: "Forget about it. No. I do not want to play against Arsenal, simple as that.
"The bond that I have with the Arsenal fans I will never get anywhere else. Because I don't think I will ever play for another team for that long.
"Eight years - I don't think I will be with another team for eight years, I am getting old now."
I dont think Earnie has scored against us since he left, who would I rather in a play off game. Swansea or Forest (Earnshaw's current team). It is odd seeing your hero's back on your pitch in the away dressing room though.Gooners wrote:

I thought the Man Utd fans were spot on with Beck's the other week.
Did you see Messi on Sunday? Wow.... This little man is unstoppable, and he's going to be hungry for Arsenal because he missed the CL Final when Barcelona last played them.
No I didnt but heard seen / heard everyone raving about him.Zimmer wrote:

Reckon its his WC?
He's scored 8 goals in the past 3 games. All of the goals have been incredible. Everyone should be raving about him, people are starting to say he's the best player ever...1927 wrote:

I dunno.... Maradona needs to realise he's playing him wrong before Messi can perform. But as Maradona is such a douchebag, I don't know what's going to happen.
we'll keep him locked down, don't worry zimmer can't wait for that match, gonna be so tight.
Since when has that EVER worked with Messi? lol.Gooners wrote:

Eh, does it matter? No team has ever been able to "keep him locked down".Gooners wrote:

put it back in your pants zimmer
Id hate to see him injured, how loyal is he to Barca, I want to see him over here in the Prem playing vs Cardiff City (ok thats a joke but the rest isnt)Zimmer wrote:

lol. That was last year. He's doubled in consistency and skill.Jenspm wrote:
Chelsea did a fine job of containing him.
I still rate Maradona as a better player. I mean, he carried two average teams to win the WC and Serie A.
That said, he's still amazing, and by far the most entertaining to watch in the world today.
I knew you were going to bring that up. Fact is... Chelsea are out, and they lost out to Inter, who Barcelona beat.
He'll never leave. Pretty much sums up his loyalty. He's a Puyol or Xavi.1927 wrote:

Oh damn, thats a shame (for us). Well I look forward to seeing what its all about in South Africa later this year then.Zimmer wrote:

Indeed, no ammount of money will ever make Messi leave Barca.
And Zimmer, I think the Spanish teams have lately had way too much respect for him.. Just look at how many more goals he gets from 16 yards this year, there is zero pressure on him. Not taking anything away from his skill, he's amazing, but I just think that's a key to stopping him. Be smart, but not passive, be agressive, but not reckless. Bosingwa managed that extremely well I thought, I doubt Clichy can do the same.

Please, go watch the matches and then tell me there is no pressure on him. I honestly can't stand arrogance because you think the Premier League is more superior. It's just a joke. You can't compare so please don't talk out of your ass. Bosingwa managed that 1 year ago, Messi is a much much better player right now.
Seriously, how can you say that after the 8 goals he's scored in the past 3 games? Did you SEE the goals?
I'm not saying the Premier League is superior, I think they're quite equally match, at least at the top. I do believe that the bottom half of the Premier League is better than the bottom half in Spain, but that's past the point.
Barcelona showed how good they are once and for all in the Champions League, and I don't doubt the skill in the league. I do, however, believe Messi would be shoved around more by the defences in the Premier League, and that, if I were a coach in Spain, I'd ask my players to do the same. One defence is not better than the other, the playing styles are just different and I believe the English way of doing things is more effective when it comes to stopping guys like Messi.

I agree, the english game is more physical in terms of defending.Jenspm wrote:
