Well C&C 4 is shit tastic and is a discrace to me. I need good alternative RTS games me and my bros can hit up during late night gaming session. I want something relevent to C&C Generals. Any idea's? Lets try and make it a recent game and not WiC

Only games of the command & conquer series have any relevance to generals, I just recommend R.U.S.E because it's my new favorite rts and it's addicting and balanced.

Just 'cause it's ww2 doesn't mean it sucks. Quite frankly Modern Warfare is kind of boring and too technological for me, if I want a game with high tech stuff there is Science Fiction for me

WarCraft 3: TFT.

SupCom.

RA2 + YR.

Rome: Total War + the Gladiator soundtrack, Barbarian Invasion and Alexander.

Have owned/played almost all of these. Most stick in my head as stand-out RTS games. Especially Homeworld2 for something different. Have DoW on the PC atm as it's fucking epic watching firewarriors shred motherfuckers, wishing I had Soulstorm to round out the pack though. That and Alexander are the only expansions mentioned I haven't played.

Dawn of War is awesome, as is Company of Heroes.

The new RUSE beta is good fun. I suggest giving them all a go.

Also, if you really want awesomeness (but not really similar to C&C), check out Sins of a Solar Empire. Huge space RTS. Games last for hours, but you can save them half way through.
